A Moonlight Adventure

When I first heard of night rafting, I knew immediately I needed to check it out for myself. It was described as "the light of the moon guides you down the river" and of course, with no headlamps. The challenging (or funnest) part of the adventure is not to hit any rocks with your raft so it would get stuck, or even worse, someone falling out.

Once on the river and you look up at the sky and moon, there is a sense of peacefulness one can not experience rafting in the day. Sounds of the water is much clearer and sounds from afar can be heard.

Just this last Saturday night I experienced night rafting for the fourth time. I have done it three times in Leigh High River in PA, and once in the jungles of Chiang Mai Thailand! After rafting, their is a bonfire already for you to roast marshmallows and get warm again. Many countries offer this as part of their adventure program.

How about you? Are you ready for a moonlight adventure?
